Our junior secondary school- gimnazjum (students aged 13-16) is situated in a little town Zabierzow, in the south of Poland, near the historical and cultural  centre  - the city of Krakow. We’re called  Krakow’s “bedroom” community . Some world famous sights of historical importance ( for example Auschwitz or Salt Mine in Wieliczka) are within a short distance from our town, too.

Our school is not big (about 350 students) but it is spacious and modern. It has got a lot of sports facilities, including a sport arena: sport hall,  swimming pool  and  stadium.  We have been  involved in several international projects: 2008 – 2010 Comenius Project “E-Iearning and Web2 tools as means of enhancing education outcomes and establishing transnational cooperation “ together with eight European schools (it was awarded by our NA), 2008 up to now – the Common Connection Art Project in cooperation with Tigard High School from Oregon, USA and  Mid School Exchange Programme with Liberty Lions and Sky Ridge Middle Schools from Camas, Washington, USA .  Being in all kinds of such activities can really give you a lot out, so we are  happy and lucky  to be in our next  project “National Models of European Cultural and Educational Dimensions” together with You.

Here are some of the photos from our school and area.
